If you’ve followed Paperdienamics for a while, you’ll know we’re all about bringing people together, making memories, and putting a smile on people’s faces.

Today, though, we’re asking for your help with something that’s very close to home.

Many of you won’t know Jay by name, but trust me, you’ll have benefited from his hard work. While I’m busy talking to cameras and causing mischief, Jay is one of the people behind the scenes making sure things actually happen! He’s the chap who helps keep the warehouse moving, the orders flowing, and the wheels turning every single day.

More importantly, Jay is Dad to an incredible young lady called Macy.

Macy is ten years old, bright as a button, determined, funny, and an absolute superstar. She also lives with Alström Syndrome, an ultra-rare genetic condition that affects many aspects of her life, including her sight, hearing, mobility, energy levels, and overall health.

And if that wasn’t enough for one little person to deal with, Macy’s journey has been anything but easy.

At just three months old, she suffered a cardiac arrest and now lives with dilated cardiomyopathy. She is also severely sight impaired and has Type 2 diabetes, meaning everyday life comes with challenges that most of us can barely imagine.

But here’s the thing about Macy…

She doesn’t let those challenges define her.

Recently, Macy got the opportunity to try a specialist Tomcat trike at an Alström Syndrome Family Day. The smile on her face said everything. For a moment, she wasn’t thinking about medical appointments, limitations, or the obstacles she faces every day. She was simply being a child, enjoying freedom, independence, and having fun.

And that’s why we’re here.

We’re hoping to raise £5,800 to help buy Macy her own specialist trike.

This isn’t your average bike from the local shop. It needs to be specially adapted to support Macy’s individual needs, making it both safe and comfortable for her to use. Having her own trike would allow her to build confidence, improve her mobility, enjoy more time outdoors with her family, and experience the freedom that every child deserves.

As parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, and friends, we all know there’s nothing quite as special as seeing a child smile.
